Clinical Research Resources & Facilities
Home
The Clinical Research Resources & Facilities (CRRF) Core is under the direction of Cecilia Shikuma, MD and Todd Seto, MD. The CRRF Core provides consultative assistance with study design, and feasibility and study logistics of planned studies; assisting junior and PhD investigators with clinical protocol development; providing clinical and translational protocol implementation (maintaining regulatory paperwork, ensuring protocol compliance, assisting with recruitment and scheduling of patients, data collection, input and database management and specimen collection and processing); and providing investigators access to state-of-the-art specialized equipment. The CRRF Core works closely with other Cores to further research in the priority HEALTH initiative areas, to build institutional and community research synergy and to advance the career development of health disparities investigators. The CRRF Cores conducts research both in the community and at 3 established clinical research sites in Honolulu located at the John A. Burns School of Medicine Kakaako site, the Queen’s Medical Center and at the Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children.
