This introductory workshop is intended to offer participants practical experience in Perl programming and provide them with the fundamentals they need to use it for solving their day-to-day bioinformatics problems. A series of comprehensive lectures and practical examples with real-life examples will be given. The workshop will be presented over two days. The first day will cover a general introduction to Perl syntax and is open to everyone. The second day will focus exclusively on bioinformatics topics of interest to life scientists.
