Description: This workshop will be thaught by Dr Dongmei Li and will cover the basic biostatistics concepts, inference, and interpretation of analysis results. The topics introduced include:

General biostatistics concepts and techniques (types of measurement, types of studies, and introduction to statistical inference)

  • Exploratory data analysis (frequency distributions and summary statistics)
  • Quantitative response variable modeling (t-test, ANOVA, multiple linear regression)
  • Categorical response variable modeling (risk difference, chi-square test, logistic regression)

The schedule of the workshop is as follows:

Friday, 02/25 (Theoretical component with practical non-interactive examples) 09:00am to 04:00pm with a one hour lunch break.
Friday, 03/04 (Hands-on exercises session) 09:00am to 12:00AM JMP-SAS software and R will be used for the examples and exercise problems. Please contact me if you need help installing R or for obtaining a JMP 8.0 license.
