Individuals from the University of Hawaii community who are interested in learning about NIH supported research tools are encouraged to attend.

Workshop Description
Groundbreaking biomedical research requires access to cutting edge scientific resources; however such resources are often invisible beyond the laboratories or universities where they were developed. eagle-i Search & Sweet (semantic web entry and edit tool) are Open Network, Open Access, Open Source web-based research resource discovery and management applications, supporting biomedical scientists in finding valuable resources and managing their laboratory resources.

IN THIS WORKSHOP, PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN HOW TO SEARCH FOR AND INVENTORY THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF RESEARCH RESOURCES & SERVICES:

  • Reagents – e.g., antibodies, plasmids, cell lines, RNAi libraries …and more.
  • Organisms & Viruses – e.g., model organisms of disease, knockout mice …and more.
