Data and Databases: Useful Tools, Resources and Pathways to Wellbeing

Friday, January 20, 2017, 12 pm to 1:30 pm

Although many science professionals remember their statistics classes with dread, we also understand that data forms the backbone of grants, manuscripts, program evaluations, and more. Through two different websites, the Hawaii Health Data Warehouse (HHDW) presents data in a way that is easy for public health professionals and students to find and use. We aim to take the dread out of data and to help advance public health research in Hawaii by providing statistics that are digestible and relevant to our state’s unique demographic landscape.
