Description: The Hawaii Chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health will hold its annual Distinguished Lecture Event on Wednesday May 13, 2015 from 5-7 pm on the UH Manoa campus, Biomedical Sciences Building, Room B-103, (see attached flyer).

This year’s Distinguished Lecture award goes to Lars Alfredsson, PhD, Professor of Epidemiology and Head, Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit, Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden.

Dr. Alfredsson’s lecture is entitled, Epidemiology as a tool to understand interactions between exposure, genetics, and immunophenotype: examples from rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis.

We will also be holding an induction ceremony of new members at this event.

Take this wonderful opportunity to meet and hear from this renowned scientist and speaker. Reception to follow. Campus parking is $6.
