For more info: Description: Hawaii EPSCoR, the Office of Research Services, and the Manoa Office of the
Vice-chancellor of Research will be hosting a Proposal Writing Workshop on
Tuesday February 13, 2018 from 2-4pm in ITC 105 on the Manoa campus. This workshop is targeted to all graduate students, postdoctoral researchers,
and faculty who are interested in learning more about identifying funding
opportunities and writing competitive research proposals. Please pass this
email onto interested grad students in your unit. The presenters will be: Dr. Kelvin Chu, Vice President, The Implementation Group (TIG)
Dr. Chu was the Senior Associate Director of the Vermont State EPSCoR before
becoming a Program Officer at the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the
Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR). He joined
TIG in 2014 and has become a key member of a team that between April 2016 and
April 2017 helped UH researchers win over $28.9M in federal awards. Ms. Kathleen Yoshinaga, ORS Grants Specialist
